This position is ONSITE in an office setting.

Gibbstown, NJ (08027) Position Overview:
The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for the cost accounting, cost analysis, short- and long-range planning and inventory valuation for multiple sites and business units.
This position will be a forward-thinking professional with operational experience and a proven track record of creative problem solving and change management.
Essential Functions:
Analyze and forecast product costs, inventory, and manufacturing variances.
Support in development and setting up of product standard cost.
Establish and maintain bills of material, product routings, material, labor and overhead costs.
Manage the annual cost roll-up for all sites.
Plan, collect, and analyze data to drive the standard cost revaluation processes; implement cost updates periodically.
Lead the development & ongoing management of costing method/process for new products and for labor and overhead allocations for old and new products, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting guidance.
Actively Participate in all financial cycle close, prepare journal entries related to cost allocation, inventory adjustments, and reserves analysis, analyze and reconcile key inventory.
Partner with manufacturing, plant, and financial leadership to provide reporting, analysis, and guidance on inventory and other accounts.
Responsible for inventory valuation of the largest company's asset Prepare and analyze inventory turnover, customer and item profitability.
Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Produce and analyze periodic financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of year-end audit schedules.
Assist in the assessment of systems requirements for the accounting department in support of organizational growth; assist in ERP and other accounting systems implementations.
Utilize DAX ERP system inventory management and production module.
Work with IT to develop cost accounting module utilization.
Implement cost accounting policies and procedures according to GAAP.
Complete periodic actual production cost worksheets and analysis for use in controlling expenditures.
Various accounts analysis and reconciliations.
Organize and direct performance of the annual physical inventory and subsequent reconciliation of same.
Participate in special projects and perform other accounting related duties as needed.
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Participate in Corporate Performance Management maintenance related to sales(margins), inventory and production analysis.
Supervise cost accountant.
Qualifications:
8
years of leadership experience to include progressive experience in accounting field 5
Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP requirements Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and be well organized.
Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Bachelor's Degree, Accounting major required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)strongly preferred.
Desired Skills:
DAX knowledge preferred, but not required.
Solid work ethic with a high level of energy and integrity.
